Hawk Soap Co. was founded on a commitment to make quality products that help improve and simplify the lives of the customers we serve. That commitment has guided the company from its original handcrafted soap bars into a growing collection of products designed for the shower, boat, camp, truck, trail, dock, kitchen, and everyday life.

Our original Hawk Soap lineup includes distinctive bars such as Above the Tree Line, Bayou Rum Runner, Pine Knot, Tigernut Scrub, Wild Oats, Restore, and Revive. These soaps combine traditional soapmaking ingredients with bold fragrances, exfoliants, activated charcoal, pine tar, oatmeal, honey, goat’s milk, shea butter, and other carefully selected ingredients.

Hawk Junk Powder expanded the company into everyday body care with talc-free powder options designed for active lifestyles and warm-weather comfort.

And Hawk Sauce, born on Black Bayou in Gonzales, Louisiana, extends the Hawk lifestyle all the way to the table with authentic Louisiana cayenne and habanero pepper sauces made to bring both heat and Cajun flavor.

A Company Built Around Giving Back

Service has been part of Hawk Soap Co. from the beginning.

For years, Hawk Soap Co. has partnered with Fishing for the Fight to help raise funds for individuals and families battling cancer and serious juvenile medical issues.

Each July, members of the Hawk family travel to Pinedale, Wyoming, where they prepare and serve a Cajun meal during the opening night of the organization’s annual fly-fishing tournament.

That commitment to helping others remains central to the company as Hawk continues to grow.

We want growth to mean more products, more customers, and more opportunities—but also a greater ability to give back to the communities and causes that matter to us.

Meet the Founders

Paul Knapp, Co-Founder

Paul was born in Pennsylvania and spent much of his life in Wyoming. He has been married for more than three decades and has three adult children and four grandchildren.

Paul spent a number of years working in the oil and gas industry and has also worked as a professional hunting and fishing guide, leading trips and spending significant time in the outdoors.

That experience helped shape the practical, rugged, outdoor character that continues to influence Hawk Soap Co. today.

Scott Young, Co-Founder

Scott is from South Louisiana and has been married for more than three decades. He has seven children and seven grandchildren.

His professional career has included many years in pharmaceutical sales in the Baton Rouge area, while his South Louisiana roots helped shape Hawk’s connection to fishing, boating, Cajun culture, and outdoor life.

Together, Paul and Scott built Hawk Soap Co. around a shared belief in quality products, family, faith, service, the outdoors, and simplifying everyday life.
